FFS boss Joseph Anebi, gets tenure extension

President Mohammadu Buhari has extended the tenure of Mr. Joseph Anebi, the Comptroller General of the Federal Fire Service (FFS).

The development was disclosed through the official Twitter handle of the Federal Fire Service in the late hours of Saturday.

An Online Source (NAN) reports that the extension was confirmed in an interview with the service Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mr. Ugo Huan on Sunday in Abuja.

Huan said that more information would be released on the appointment soon.

Anebi was first appointed by President Goodluck Jonathan as Comptroller-General of the agency on Dec. 4, 2014.

Anebi was previously in charge of Logistics at the headquarters of the agency before taking over from Mr Ademola Jolaoso.

Anebi was born in Abo Otukpa in Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State.

He has held different positions from Federal Ministry of works and housing to Federal Fire Service before being appointed the Controller General in December 2014.

He is a fellow and member of different professional bodies both in Nigeria and abroad and a recipient of different honours.
