From a video currently making rounds on social media, a Lagos politician was captured for allegedly slapping a female reporter during the governorship and state Houses of Assembly election held on Saturday, March 9.
The video recorded the moment the Lagos politician identified as Segun Adewale who is popularly known as Aeroland slapped a female BBC reporter for recording him.
In the video clip shared on the BBC Pidgin’s Instagram handle, the politician was heard insisting that the female journalist should not record him. PAY
The video caption revealed that as at the time the video recording was going on, Aeroland was involved in vote buying. He was said to be sharing N1,000 to each voter who voted for his party at the Pleasure bus stop along the Abeokuta-Lagos expressway. With the help of thugs allegedly following him, the phone of the reporter was snatched but she was able to get it back with the intervention of the policemen around.
Aeroland could be heard telling the reporter that if she records him, he will slap her. He was also heard asking the reporter who she was trying to call.
